Hello Guys,
So here it is! I finally created a picture in Adobe Illustrator, and it was not as hard as I thought it would be!
At first, you need to get used to different tools. And, if you are already familiar with Photoshop and InDesign, everything will fall right in the place!
As you can see, my first Illustrator project was a flyer for Breakfast with the Bunny. Everything was hand-drawn except butterflies, eggs and a flower. To create a bunny, I used a variety of shapes which were done with brush, pen tool and shape tool. Some shapes were repeated, layered and blurred in order to get 3D effect.
To create spikes on the sun, I used a star tool. While dragging your mouse to make a star shape, click up/down arrow key on your keyboard to increase/decrease the amount of spikes. Then add some circles, draw eyes, a mouth, and you are done!

My second project was Ping Pong Tournament flyer. This time, everything was originally created except confetti.

Now, Adobe Illustrator is my absolutely favorite program to use! I cannot even imagine how I was getting around without its use before.

Hello Readers!
I am very excited because I finished my Digital Publishing class with an A! YAY!!!=)
My homework assignment was to create print advertising for WilmU Cafe company that sells coffee to different shops. Below, you can see coffee tasting invitation, front, back, inside of the brochure, front and back of the business card, and finally an ad. I tried to keep all the items consistent with similar graphics, colors, fonts, etc.
Pictures were done in Photoshop and InDesign CS5.1. Seven long weeks fighting with InDesign finally thought me something. Now, I very proud to say that I know how to work in InDesign! Next step is to master Illustrator=)
So here we have Coffee Tasting Party invitation:

And finally here is an ad=)

Microsoft and Google have been competing with each other for a while. According to CNN report, Microsoft is at 38 place on Fortune 500. Surprisingly, Google got to 92 place on the best-place-to-work-for rank (http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune500/2011/employers/).
I found pretty good reviewing websites on both companies. Who can tell better than people that work in the organizations, right? Here are a few quotes:
Microsoft
Whether Google or Microsoft is better - that is something you can decide on your own. Just remember, find out about the company’s corporate culture first. Good research, good research and again GOOD RESEARCH!

I love these adds! I think they are the most creative and definitely funny!
